Following the huge worldwide success of the blockbuster Hunger Games movie franchise, Lionsgate’s The Hunger Games: The Exhibition has opened its global tour at Discovery Times Square, New York City. Electrosonic engineered, supplied and integrated the audio-visual systems for the 12,000 square-foot exhibition whose costumes, props, set recreations and interactive experiences deliver a dynamic fan experience.

The Ellis Island National Museum of Immigration opened new galleries in the former Kitchen and Laundry Building of the immigrant processing and detention station in New York Harbor. Dedicated to the story of immigration, the galleries mark phase two of the Peopling of America Center®. Electrosonic provided audio-visual support for phase one, which opened in 2011 to cover immigrant arrival in the Pre-Ellis era, and returned to complete phase two following a two-year delay caused by Hurricane Sandy in 2012, which flooded and destroyed the electrical, communications, IT, and HVAC systems - including the Electrosonic racks.

Turkey’s Konya Science Center, the country’s first large interactive institution dedicated to informal learning about science and technology, has added a gallery on human health with audio-visual equipment, installation and programming by Electrosonic. Located in the Municipality of Konya, the museum’s latest gallery joins exhibits on basic science, new technology, earth and biosystems, space, and the history and culture of the region.

Electrosonic designed and installed the facility’s original AV system several years ago, but returned to replace all the museum’s displays and head-end drive equipment with the latest technology.

“The Marvel Experience” is an immersive touring attraction produced by Hero Ventures that provides Marvel fans with the opportunity to become agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in training. Visitors use numerous interactives, augmented reality technology and multi-person gaming, to join Spider-Man, Hulk and Iron Man in a fight against Red Skull, M.O.D.O.K. and an army of evil Adaptoids. The attraction is currently touring North America with plans for multiple international locations.

Winnipeg’s Canadian Museum for Human Rights explores the universal concept of human rights with a special emphasis on Canada. The museum features theaters, interactive touchscreen stations, projections on a digital canvas and hundreds of video clips. Electrosonic was contracted to do the audio-visual design of the museum’s eleven galleries, and subsequently directed the AV installation working with local partner Advance Pro.
